This week’s Vendor Spotlight is on Gypsy Floral & Events!

Tell us a little about Gypsy Floral!

We were introduced by mutual friends in 2012, and after one coffee date, decided to go into create Gypsy together.  We always jokingly tell people we fell in ‘flower love,’ but it’s the absolute truth.  We started as business partners, but we think our friendship and passion for design is what makes Gypsy unique.  Our design style is luxe bohemian, laid back and full of romantic southern charm.   We love connecting with our clients, and helping them curate their ideas into a beautiful event.

What is one of your favorite Mercury Hall weddings and why?

Hannah and Amy’s wedding this past October. Hannah and Amy described it best as a”whimsical magical love with lots of glitter . . . a garden-party-meets-sparkle-flair” and that’s exactly what it was!  It was also unique in that it was a Quaker wedding. With no officiant, their guests were encouraged to rise and share messages during the ceremony.  It wasn’t your average wedding in any way - and that’s what we love!  Also, they picked a stellar vendor team including Beau Tied Events, The Confetti Committee and SMS Photographers (among many others) to create all the fun and joyful details!

What’s your favorite part of doing the flowers/design of someone’s wedding?

The moment when we walk through the door carrying beautiful bouquets and the bride & her bridesmaids light up with joy is hands down the best part!  Also, making pinterest dreams come true every weekend is kind of our deal.

What advice would you give to a bride on a tight budget when it comes to flowers?

Choose where you want to focus your flower impact!  Whether it’s gorgeous bridesmaids bouquets (that you can later repurpose as centerpieces!), a knock out sign in arrangement or an over-the-top ceremony arbor, choose where you want invest in a memorable visual experience.
